Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs

Hooked on Fishing, Not on Drugs (HOFNOD) is a program designed by the Future Fisherman Foundation.  The 20-year old program has been implemented in 30 states.  The program is designed to teach children about healthy lifestyles and how to deal with challenges.

HOFNOD events strive to teach children angling skills, environmental conservation, and substance abuse prevention skills.

UNITE Pike will be hosting a HOFNOD event on Saturday, June 12, 2010.  The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the Pikeville Lake.  The event will end at 1 p.m.

All school-age children are encouraged to participate in this free event, as well as families.  Lunch will be provided.  Children ages 16 and older are required to have a fishing license.  We look forward to seeing you at HOFNOD!
